മഞ്ചേശ്വരം താലൂക്ക് ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ വികസനം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് മംഗൽപ്പാടി ജനകീയ വേദി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഇ മെയിൽ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ ആദ്യ ദിവസം തന്നെ വൻ പ്രതികരണമെന്ന് സംഘാടകർ.
കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ച് മാസങ്ങളായി ആശുപത്രി വിശയത്തിൽ ഓൺ ലൈൻ ക്യാമ്പയിനും,എഫ്.ബി സ്റ്റാറ്റസ്,ഈ മെയിൽ ക്യാമ്പയിൻ തുടങ്ങിയ വേറിട്ട സമരങ്ങളുമായിട്ടാണ് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുന്നത്. ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രിക്ക് 10000 ഇ മെയിൽ എന്ന പദ്ധതി ഒരു ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിച്ചു എന്നാണ് വിലയിരുത്തൽ. വാട്സ് ആപ്പിലും,ഫേസ് ബുക്കിലും കൂടി നിരവധി ആൾക്കാരാണ് മെസ്സേജുകൾ ഷെയർ ചെയ്ത് സഹകരിച്ചത്. ലോക്ക്ഡൗൺ നിയമം നിലവിൽ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഈ സമരം ആളിക്കത്തുമായിരുന്നു എന്നതിൽ സംശയമില്ല.
നിവധി സംഘടനകളും,ക്ലബുകളും,മത നേതാക്കൻമാരും, രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികളും ,സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവർത്തകരും മഞ്ചേശ്വരം ആശുപത്രിയുടെ വികസന പ്രവർത്തന വിഷയത്തിൽ ശബ്ദമുയർത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു.
കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ നടന്ന സൂം മീറ്റിങ്ങുകളിലും മറ്റും എം.എൽ.എ ആശുപത്രി വിശയത്തിന് മുൻഗണന നൽകി സംസാരിച്ചതും സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിൽ ശ്രദ്ധയാകർശിച്ചിരുന്നു. കിഫ്ബിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി
സൂപ്പർ സ്പെഷ്യാലിറ്റി ആശുപത്രി ആക്കി ഉയർത്തുന്നത് വരെ കൂടുതൽ സമര പദ്ധതിയുമായി മുന്നോട്ട് പോവുമെന്ന് എം.ജെ.വി പ്രവർത്തകർ അറിയിച്ചു.

കേരളത്തിലെ വടക്കേ അറ്റത്തെ ഏറ്റവും ഒടുവിൽ രൂപം കൊണ്ട മഞ്ചേശ്വരം താലൂക്കിൽ, രണ്ടുവർഷം മുമ്പാണ് പ്രസ്തുത ആശുപത്രി താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയായി ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടത്. താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രി എന്ന ബോർഡ് അല്ലാതെ നിലവിൽ ഒരു സി. എച്ച്. സി.യുടെ സൗകര്യം പോലും പ്രസ്തുത ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല
ലോക്ക് ഡൗൺ സമയത്ത് ഇരുപതോളം ആൾക്കാർ ചികിത്സകിട്ടാതെ മരണമടഞ്ഞ ഒരു പ്രദേശമാണ് മഞ്ചേശ്വരം. അതിൽ വൃക്കരോഗികൾ ഉം ഗർഭിണികളും ഒക്കെയുണ്ട്. മഞ്ചേശ്വരം താലൂക്കിൽ ഏകദേശം നാല് ലക്ഷത്തോളം ആൾക്കാർ ഈ ആശുപത്രിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു ദിവസം 700 മുതൽ തൊട്ടു 800 വരെ രോഗികൾ ഇവിടെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കെത്തുന്നു. പ്രസ്തുത താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ വേണ്ട സൗകര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഈ കോവിഡ് കാലത്ത് പ്രദേശവാസികൾക്ക് ഏറെ ആശ്വാസം പകരുമായിരുന്നു, കർണാടക ബോർഡർ അടച്ചതോടുകൂടി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ പോലും ചികിത്സ കിട്ടാതെ ഏറെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകൾ അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു. വിദഗ്ധ ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ സേവനം ഇവിടെ ഇല്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് ആൾക്കാർ ചികിത്സക്ക് വേണ്ടി കിലോമീറ്ററുകളോളം പോകേണ്ട ദുസ്ഥിതി നിലവിലുണ്ട്. ഇത് മരണത്തിനും ഇടയാക്കുന്നു
14-8-2019ന് ഇവിടെ കിടത്തിച്ചികിത്സ താൽക്കാലികമായി തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു, പക്ഷേ അത് നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകാനുള്ള ഡോക്ടർമാറും അനുബന്ധ ജീവനക്കാരും ഇല്ലാത്തത് ആശുപത്രിയുടെ നടത്തിപ്പിനെ സാരമായി ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 8 ഡോക്ടർമാരെ നിയമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്ന് ഡിഎംഒ പറഞ്ഞതല്ലാതെ പ്രവർത്തിയിൽ പകുതി പോലും മിക്കപ്പോഴും ഉണ്ടാവാറില്ല. ചിലപ്പോൾ ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ ഡോക്ടർമാർ മാത്രം ഉള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകാറുണ്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ട് പലപ്പോഴും കിടത്തി ചികിത്സയും കാഷ്വാലിറ്റി പോലും നിലച്ച സംഭവങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്.
അത്യാഹിതവിഭാഗം മെറ്റേർണിറ്റി, ശിശുരോഗ വിദഗ്ധർ ഇതൊന്നും നിലവിലില്ല. അത്യാഹിത വാർഡ് കണ്ടാൽ കേരളം ആണോ എന്നുപോലും തോന്നിപ്പോകും
3 മാസം മുമ്പ് ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ അഞ്ചു കോടി ചിലവിൽ ഇവിടെ ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ സമുച്ചയം പണിയും എന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതല്ലാതെ ഇതുവരെ ഒരു പുരോഗതിയും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്ന് ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട മന്ത്രി അടിയന്തരമായി ഇടപെട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഈ ആശുപത്രിക്ക് വേണ്ട കെട്ടിടങ്ങളും അത്യാഹിതവിഭാഗം, ശിശുരോഗ വിദഗ്ധർ. സ്ത്രീ രോഗ വിദഗ്ധർ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ആവശ്യത്തിനുള്ള ഡോക്ടർ മാരെയും സ്റ്റാഫുകളെയും നിയമിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഈ നാടിനെയും ജനങ്ങളെയും രക്ഷിക്കണമെന്ന് വിനീതമായി അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

Subject. Regarding the infrastructure development of Manjeswaram Taluk Headquarters Mangalpady Hospital, inclusion of the project in KIIFB and immediate assignment of Doctors / other medical staff
Sir / Madam,
We would like to bring to your kind notice that the hospital in Mangalpady was upgraded to a Taluk hospital two years ago in the newly formed Manjeswaram Taluk at the northern tip of Kerala. Apart from the upgradation of the name board currently the facilities are not even in par with a CHC hospital
When the authorities declared a country wide lockdown about 20 people died due to lack of treatment in Manjeswaram, which includes kidney patients, cancer patients, pregnant women, etc.. About four lakh people who reside in Manjeswaram taluk are dependent on this hospital and 700 to 800 patients come here daily for treatment. It would have brought a lot of relief to the locals If there was a facility in the said taluk hospital during this Covid-19 period. Due to the lack of expert doctors here, tens of thousands of people have to travel miles for treatment, Which can also lead to death and with the closure of the Karnataka border we are facing a lot of difficulties where we are not getting treatment in private hospitals.
The inpatient treatment here was started temporarily on 14-8-2019, The lack of doctors and other medical staffs has seriously affected the running of the hospital. Even after the DMO has assigned 8 doctors on a daily basis only half of them are on duty. Sometimes there are days when there are only one or two doctors. So there have been cases where even inpatient treatment and casualty have stopped.
Casualty ward, Maternity ward, Pediatric ward, ICU, etc., none of this exist. You will be shocked to the see the state of the emergency ward as if it’s Kerala or in Uganda.
No progress has been made so far other than the announcement by the district collector three months ago that a hospital complex would be built here at a cost of Rs. 5 crores, which are peanuts when compared with the Honorable Minister announcing 100 crores for upgrading the Hospitals in other Districts.
Therefore, we the people of Kerala request the Honorable Minister to intervene immediately and provide all the facilities which are required in a Taluk Hospital i.e, the Infrastructure including the buildings, emergency department, Maternity ward, ICU, pediatric ward, etc., and the required staffs for the hospital.
We humbly request you to take due consideration and save the people of Kerala who are residing in Manjeshwar Taluk by giving them their basic human right of better Health care
